Hmm. AntennaPod supports syncing with Next loud via a Gpodder’s API, if each kid gets its own next loud account it should work fine

This is what I do. It is super effective.
This sounds promising. My kids already have nextcloud accounts in my instance. Not having to fight audiobookself’s lack of LDAP auth would be nice.
