I’m just imaging Sims shoving hotdogs in a coffee maker, fish in the dishwasher, and a turkey in the microwave for 10 hours.
They could use recipes from the internet like instant potatoes made with Monster Energy drinks, hamburger smoothies, bologna sushi, and NyQuil chicken. Imagine the possibilities for new moodlets.
This whole idea could bleed over into other skills. Low mixology skills? Whiskey in a shot glass made out of spam.
My parents used to buy these frozen breakfast sandwiches. The package instructions say to microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. One morning, I suppose my mom woke up extra tired because at some point, the smoke alarms were going off and the whole house STUNK. I heard the microwave going, looked over, and there are 11 minutes left on it.
She must have accidentally hit an extra zero and set it for 23 minutes.
I did the same thing with carrots I was heating up for my dog… the extreme heat broke the bowl in half once the water had all evaporated. It took 3 days to get the smokey-caramelized carrot odour out of the microwave with vinegar. Now I always stay in the kitchen when cooking things in the microwave 😅
