For the record I have accidentally eaten raw (undercooked) chicken before, and I cannot imagine why anyone would ever eat it on purpose

Many people around the world eat sushi, and if you’re already okay with the texture of sushi, the texture of raw chicken might not scare you off.
Of course there are mixed opinions about sushi, too.

Yeah I’ve eaten undercooked chicken before and it tastes awful. Still ate it, but awful.
I remember an Iron Chef episode where they roasted a chicken rare. Couldn’t believe my eyes. Judges loved it.
