This came out really tasty! After destroying the first batch I figured out it works much better if you take out the little air flow grill plate from the bottom and just cook it directly on the pan.

I started by scrambling two eggs with some vanilla oat milk and a healthy amount of cinnamon. I preheated the air fryer to 380F and coated with just enough ghee butter to coat the bottom of the pan. I dunked the bread and let it cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through. It was still a little wetter than I liked so I flipped it one more time and gave it 3 more minutes at 400F

It came out with a crispy crust but still gooey in the middle! I had it with some maple syrup!

Any reason to airfry instead of pan fry?

The photo is quite blurry to see the texture of the food.

It’s pretty much just because I got an air fryer for free about a month ago and I’ve been trying out different things in it lol

As far as benefits of using the air fryer for this, it’s definitely lighter and crispier than pan fried. That’s something that I personally like, but others may not. After making 4 slices I’d also say the air fryer also gave me much more consistent results than I’ve had pan frying, but that may be due to something with my stove or possibly my somewhat limited cooking skills lol

Thanks. I had never thought of removing the “air flow grill plate” before. I am going to give it a try.

I left the plate in for the first batch I tried yesterday. Even though I coated it with butter first everything got stuck to it and I had to rip the toast to pieces to get it out. It did cook faster though lol
