I’ve noticed it too. Their articles seem almost formulaic or algorithmic. I’m not saying they’re AI generated, although they may be, but I’ve noticed that almost every single Onion article in recent history ended with the last sentence being, “at press time…”. I’m not sure if they’ve always ended with a “at press time” joke and I’m going crazy, or if it’s a new development.
