minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink18•edit-210 months agoThe silhouette wouldn’t change as much as in that image, it would probably be more like the image in this article: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/was-spinosaurus-a-bison-backed-dinosaur-12849430/ If you look at the silhouette of the bison vs it’s bones the muscle still doesn’t extend that far above the bones, but has more volume around the bones.

Nah, you can tell from the bones what kind of muscles were (& how they were) attached to it.
