Many people are hesitant to identify as atheists because of the social stigma they may face, making it hard to pinpoint connections and differences among this group.
A-stamp collector. I’m not really interested in stamp collecting, but that doesn’t mean my whole Identity is anti stamp or even thinking about stamps very often unless some idiot legislates that I can’t get an appendectomy because their formal organization of stamp collectors says it’s against their personal beliefs counter to clinical medical advice.
Even agreeing with that I am pretty anti all that religious bullshit these days so I’ll often go by atheist, but you’re damn right it isn’t the whole of my identity or that of anyone else who isn’t religious.
