I’ll admit I’m not opposed to permits as long as they are reasonable to get and inexpensive. For ccw I think basic competence with a firearm isn’t unreasonable. Open carry, or any other purchase I don’t think it’s as reasonable but for ccw I do.

That said was to go LA.

For my Oregon application you have to give two references which I think is unreasonable.

Depends. I lock my Glock 40 caliber for most use cases. For concealed I have a Glock 9mm. I like the AR platform because it had stopping power, familiar with them from the army and ammo is reasonable. For hunting I like my 30-06. The bulk of my rifles are 30-06 from when family members passed on. I have probably a dozen I need to do something with.

I’ve always had a handgun that never leaves my bedroom. It is purely for self defense if anyone decides to break in.

I was originally in a Blue state and had to jump through hoops to get a permit which I did finally get. I now live in an unrestricted state. I still have no urge to ever take the gun out of the house.

They used to require that you take an inexpensive short course to legally carry. They ended that restriction.

There is little crime compared to when I lived in a Blue state. Everyone here knows that the person that you fuck with might just have a gun. This discourages asshole criminals thinking they can take advantage of defenseless people

I have one gun I carry with me. One in the trunk. Two assault rifles In the trunk. In my bedroom I have an another ar-15, a shotgun and two more handguns. I have several handguns throughout the house as well. I also have storage in my basement for the rest. I carry anytime I go to the blue side of town or a blue city.
