Boost is coming to Lemmy? Where can I follow for info on that? That was the app I used for Reddit, and while Jerboa has similar features it’s not quite the same for me. Especially the swipe gestures…
Also, surprisingly, Boost is still working for me fot Reddit. I’m still waiting for it to crash.
Mm, not sure. When I click that link from my wefwef “app”, I see the community as expected. From what I understand, that syntax should work from any Lemmy instance. You should be able to search for it locally since you are on the same instance as that community. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
I heard about Boost coming to Lemmy also. I don’t have any information about development progress, but I’ll definitely be trying it out once it launches.
Boost is still working for Reddit because Reddit realized that turning off their API access was harder than they thought. It will take them a few weeks to do this. Once they do, Boost for Reddit will be dead.
I’m still using it to look into a few subreddits every so often. (Ones that I haven’t found Lemmy replacements for.) When it dies, my time spent on Reddit - already very reduced from the pre-API crisis levels - will drop even more.

The dev created a community at [email protected].
Is that the right address? I get an “error: could not find a user with that id”

Edit: In a browser, clicking the link takes me from https://programming.dev/comment/607529 (this post relative to my local instance) to https://programming.dev/c/[email protected] (the boostforlemmy community content that is synced to my local instance).

There is no info from dev, but it’s listed in Play Store as coming soon. You can also register there.
Just installed it, and am posting this reply on it. Not sure how I feel about Lemmy, but I really like the app.
I patched Boost just in case, so I check the sub every day to see if it’s still working.
Last I saw, Reddit is ending the API over the next few weeks. Because of course they are.
You can find boost for Lemmy in Google play store where you can register for access when it launches.
