If you never connect it to the internet… It stays dumb.
Not necessarily, I’ve seen “smart” tvs that require internet to have any level of functionality :(
I would imagine a lot of those get returned, because 10-20% (estimates vary widely) of US households don’t have Internet.
A lot of them require internet for setup 🙃
