    Why can’t I be both!?

Mood one day: I’m definitely going to use that in a project, some day…

Next Evening: Fuck it all, if it’s in between me and my bed, it’s getting tossed…

lol too real. Though moving is what really caused a mass-purge from me. The “I don’t want to load this shit, move it to another house, then unload it just to have it sit forever in the basement” made me get rid of a LOT of stuff.

Yup. If it’s still in the box from the last move, what are the chances it’s going to get unpacked at a third location!?

I hear about people using storage units to store crap they don’t have room for, but I’m cheap so I throw stuff out instead.

If I ever got that point I have WAY too much crap and need to get rid of it. As it stands now I have too much crap, lol.

I can see the temporary value though if you are moving to a new place and staying somewhere in-between like a friend/family member and don’t have the extra room. But I don’t get people leasing them for years just to cram shit into and forget about.

Agreed. However, there are way more storage units in my area than makes sense for temporary use, so there has to be a ton of hoarders in my area…
