Maybe, but trying to out fash the fash is not the way. Talk to your neighbors, people. There’s a guy in my complex who used to wear maga hats and all that. I’m visibly trans and figured we’d not get along. Dude’s just scared and been given the wrong outlets. We talk now, we disagree on things, we agree on things, he hasn’t worn trump stuff in like a year, he’s switched from driving a vehicle bordering on baby’s first info warriors to just a regular truck. If I were to join a group calling to kill or silence him he’d be going the exact opposite direction he is now. I don’t know who he’ll vote for this time, which is a good thing, because a year ago I know for sure he’d have voted trump. Yeah it’s not perfect, yeah it might be slow, but radicalizing my neighbor by trying to take his vote definitely won’t help

I like that people are doing this, it is a long term solution though not a short term one.

To be clear, you’re advocating shooting people who won’t vote the way you want them to?

I’m not advocating anything. I’m saying if you don’t do one thing (which regardless of any position you or I might take in this thread will not happen) then another thing will happen.

I don’t live in the states and so do not have a dog in the fight.

You are literally advocating for murder. You don’t get to say that shit and end it with “in minecraft” basically and not face consequences once someone actually finds you advocating for murder.

I’m not advocating murder. I’m just telling you it’s the only way to prevent Trump being re-elected. Come November and he’s the President elect for the second time there’s going to be much hand wringing. What could we have done to prevent this?

Well the path is long and there were many points along the way that a peaceful solution might have been wrought. You could have had a single payer health system, your could have invested in public education, you could have prevented politicians from hijacking that education system to prevent people from getting an fair idea about the state of the world, you could have not deregulated banks so that the only limit to behaviour was the bounds of greed.

But at this point Trump is beyond the reach of the law.

Telling people that it’s the only way to avert catastrophe is the PINNACLE of advocating for something. Don’t play even dumber than you apparently are.
