    Frankly, it shouldn’t matter what his interests are. He’s not a free agent. I love Dame but the team should try to do what’s best for them and try to get as big a haul as they can for him.

      The other side of the coin is that veterans have enough sway that they can usually spike deals or become a thorn in the side of any organization receiving him unwillingly.

            It might just be me but I’d rather the players have too much power than the owners.

            Same reason I’d rather use Lemmy over Reddit, Mastodon over Twitter, etc.

            Doesn’t hurt that I’m a Heat fan though 😅

        Yeah I do agree the blazers should do what’s best for them but if Dame has said he will be unhappy anywhere but Miami, they probably aren’t gonna get great offers for an angry Dame.

          100%. There’s no way to make a good-faith deal with Miami when they know they’re not having any challengers.
