All the arbitrary downvotes on my last paintings encouraged me to do another! Thanks for motivating me to create my favorite painting yet!!

    I despise people who downvote on subs like this. If you want to comment with constructive criticism, I think that’s fine. But to downvote people who are not only adding content to Lemmy, but sharing their personal creative journey is a douchebag move.

      Thanks!! Glad you enjoy my artwork. I love painting so damn much, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to start selling my work to support my habbit if my partner and I lose our rent controlled unit this summer. She got a modest raise that will likely bump us above the maximum earnings for our unit and require us to pay $500 more a month if we want to stay in the same area. Really starting to let my dissatisfaction with Capitalism shine through my work as a result since I really dont want to sell any of my work. 🫠
