I met a 16 year old guy who is pretty sharp and politically active, he told me he wanted to run when he is of age to, he tried to play rope a dope with me about how the Jan 6 insurrection was a “protest” and how Trump had no culpability in fomenting the insurrection. I told him, in no uncertain terms, if you can’t admit to the greatest modern threat to democracy then you should never run for political office.
