Web 2.0 (also known as participative (or participatory) web and social web) refers to websites that emphasize user-generated content, ease of use, participatory culture and interoperability (i.e., compatibility with other products, systems, and devices) for end users.
It gave a voice and place to gather for all of society’s crazies.
So it’s a loony bin, got it. Web 2.0 really was a mistake.
3.0 ain’t exactly looking much brighter
Web3 was dead on arrival; when your ecosystem is entirely wannabe digital landlords, you’re not gonna get any content to actually attract users.
Oh don’t get me wrong, web 2.0 was a massive mistake, but 3.0 is a deliberate fucking scam and nothing else.
I thought Web 2.0 was just dynamic Javascript and AJAX, as a step up from static webpages of the 90s. Am I missing something here?
