Like I already said, twice: compromise. Just because they back a bill does not mean they love everything in it. It’s impossible to always get everything you want in a democracy.

I do that a lot, and they mostly get it. I live in a sanctuary city (Democrat supermajority) inside a sanctuary state (Democrat supermajority). My illegal immigrant friends have jobs, healthcare, housing, schools.
