Hopefully some day we will be free to vote for a political party that respects pur bodily autonomy to put what drugs we want and need in our ownbooking.

My body, my choice. And believe me, I’m fucking choosing.

When what you put in your own body causes you to be unpredictable and a possible danger to others- you bet your ass I’m choosing also.

There’s nuance to everything that exists. And oftentimes, that nuance requires one to realize that others live here as well.

Well that’s a fun little whatabout, isn’t it?

I suppose “because we’ve already done it/already do it” is a good excuse as any to do, well…. anything we want, right?

I could come up with a number of examples of things we do/did wrong and use it as an example to serve as a viable counterpoint- but I like to keep things in the wheelhouse of the discussion.

Alcohol is the most dangerous chemical consumed by the most people. Any person advocating societal level harm reduction through chemical prohibition and not including alcohol as the king of the problem chemicals is either a fool or arguing in bad faith.

So again, because it’s already a thing, we should just open the floodgates?

Guns are legal, so… why not just legalize hand grenades?

Just because we have already legalized worse stuff doesn’t justify legalizing more stuff.

I made this same point earlier. The kids don’t want to hear it, but thanks for being one of the few here that understand that things have nuance.

      False equivalency.

Caffine has caused more murders than MDMA.

Noone is calling for the ban of coffee because the asshats who want to control others all love coffee.

Look, just because you allow yourself to be a pawn controlled by whatever organization is controlling you doesn’t mean you get to control other people.

          Crimes should be prosecuted.

          Vices are not crimes.

Use of vices are not an accurate measure to predict crime, and even if they were, you shouldn’t prosecute on potential for a crime, you need to prosecute on actual crimes.

Your entire view reeks of you being miserable and wanting to force your misery on others.

              You’re right.

Prohibition and trying to restrict the freedom of others based on your own personal flawed dogma never ends well.

So maybe next time, keep your pie hole shut to begin with.

“Learn how to have a discussion” is a funny thing to say when you first replied with “ROFL”

Maybe learn how to grow up, and don’t have a hissy fit because other adults enjoy things you are afraid of.
