They run roughly once every two hours, including at night, and they do still choo choo at night. These are freight and not passenger, though.

They choo choo several times for each road crossing, of which there are 5 within earshot of my house. They run roughly once every two hours, including at night, and they do still choo choo at night.

Can’t beat the acoustics of a real steam whistle!
