That doesn’t mean I have to be limited to talking about that, and I made it REALLY obvious i wasn’t.

Unfortunately It not obvious to me what trials you are talking about. I don’t follow all the things that happen so forgive me. What trials are you talking about. I would be interesting in looking into them.

Nah. Trump will lose and we won’t have to listen to your assinine, borderline, manipulated rhetoric. This is the issue though, isn’t it? Many of us see the evils, both committed and potential, surrounding Trump, and in his own words. We see those because we recognize the patterns. You see potential change because there are patterns you claim to hate, and Trump acts as the catalyst towards a change you perceive to be positive, or more likely negative towards those you disagree with.

This is the reason we can’t agree. People like me want positive change so that others can have a better life. People like you want change so others can have a worse life, if those others hold opinions and positions you don’t agree with.

You won’t agree with this or even really challenge it. Your first impulse will be to insult and throw out all my words as useless, while doubling down. That’s how this works. Which is a shame.

Conservatives have been labelling the normal people as their enemy for decades, drumming up internal support to oppreas or eradicate every vulnerable class they can.

After lifetimes of conservatives insisting the normal people are their enemy, treating them as the enemy and working so hard to oppress, marginalize and destroy their enemy, you can’t be surprised when the normal people start agreeing that we might be enemies.

Most progressives are peaceful and don’t want the war conservatives insist upon. But, some of us are highly motivated and ready. There is no such thing as a “good conservative” alive today. Never has been.

I am willing to meet in the middle and have discussions. Actual, factual conversations. In fact I love learning! And though it does tickle the old pride, I will admit when I’m wrong. The problem is that this willingness to learn and tackle things outside of my comfort zone is never, ever mirrored by anyone who claims to be conservative, and those who often yell loudly views that align with Conservatives.

John_McMurray, your response is right in line with how Conservatives typically respond. Reverse the conversation with a pointed finger and blame. There is a reason why most of us assume any Conservative with a particularly strong view is actually doing exactly what they’re against behind closed doors. In most cases, hell in nearly all cases, when a secret comes to light about a Conservative it is about them doing something they’re so strongly against.

Thing is, we do WANT to work together. We just no longer trust you. This is our home too.

It will be pretty fucking funny to watch Trump die in prison, I agree.
