This is precisely why we have disabled unsupervised community creation and have instead have users submit a request. Highly recommended.

Probably awkwardtheturtle, the Reddit mod with the most to lose and a chip on his shoulder. Reddit did him dirty, absolutely, but the guy gets zeroympathy from me. It was a long time coming and it needed to happen whether Reddit was dying or not.

Just saw this as well. What’s even the point? it’ll probably take the admins like 10 minutes to remove them

Also just to add: it looks like they are being made by /u/fuck and /u/crappy, but I don’t see a way to report them

edit: now it’s /u/LolaCatt, apparently i pissed him off lol

Not really sure what anyone has to gain by doing this.

Sent the three site admins PMs about the new accounts and communities around 10 minutes after /crappy account was created. Had already made over 400 communities in that timeframe.

Well aware. I believe one of the admins is taking care of it rn. u/fuck u/LollaCatt and u/crappy are the three I’ve seen so far spamming community creation calls.

They’re probably just chunks of uuids. Not meaningful, just easy to generate programmatically and valid as community names.
