This headline is clickbait.
TLDR; some guy you never heard of is running for the Republican nomination for president. In September, he sued to have Trump removed from the primary ballot in Alaska and dozens of other states. The article makes no mention of an upcoming trial date or anything said or done by an election official or judge.
Sort of, they are considering it, but I think they’re going to keep him on the ballot by what their officials are saying.
Loser is back on our ballot in CO due to GOP lawsuit enforcing a stay on the ruling.
I doubt he’ll stay. The GOP doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on.
Their only hope is SCOTUS, but as bad as SCOTUS is, I don’t think SCOTUS wants him enough to overturn Colorado.
My understanding is that the stay only lasts until a day before the ballot certification deadline, unless (until?) SCOTUS picks it up. Basically to be expected at this point.
the stay was part of the Supreme Court of CO decision, it’s automatically stayed until Jan 04th or SCOTUS rules on it, whichever comes first. If SCOTUS doesn’t rule on it before then he’s off
