My adult daughter is ending her “year of no brain damage” that was her resolution for 2023 (she said no drinks no drugs no COVID no hitting her head on anything, and actually pulled it off) and asked me for a blue margarita, so that’s one. If I get to the store today, I may have a margarita with champagne (margarita sbagliato?) or a kir royale. If not, I have a bottle of club soda & will make something fizzy with that. We’ll probably have crackers and cheese, sardines and other fish stuff for food, not having an actual party this year.

I can’t drink alcohol, my body doesn’t process it correctly. :( But I got a nice bottle of sparkling apple and pear cider!

Stick around, I love non alcoholic fancy drinks and very low alcohol stuff made with kombucha/tepache/ginger beer too!

I got some Benedictine, finally, so I’m gonna be making drinks with that. The stuff is delicious.

That food and drink sounds fabulous. Only question- what brand and flavor of sardines and other fishy delights?

A variety. The Moroccan ones are AlShark, the Wild Planet are my everyday ones, the others husband picked up. Also there are shrimp and a salmon dip I made.

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure.

Leaning towards a Sour (Whisky or Amaretto are my favorites), or something creamy like a Brandy Alexander.

We’re making coquito and Champaign cocktails. Both from Anders Ericsson on YouTube. The coquito we discovered during our recent trip to Puerto Rico.

Amaro and Topo. It’ll mainly be Meleti, but I might pick up something else if I’m not too lazy

Are you swapping the tequila for champagne in the Margarita? If not, maybe call it a Spanish 75? You could probably even find some Spanish sparkling wine.

I’ll probably be having some variation on a Tom Collins because it’s my fiance’s favorite drink. Maybe I’ll grab some champagne and add some Luxardo Bitter Bianco to mine, and make it some kind of cross between a French 75 and an amaro spritz

No, I was thinking tequila, orange liqueur, champagne (or similar sparkling white) and lime plus maybe a little sweetener.

But I’m not sure I will buy champagne if nobody is coming over, we have only 3 drinking age people, and nobody is big on wine.
