I used to be the first one, but after awhile you start to realize by the end of the game you don’t even know what your character looks like. So now I’m the second one.
Yeah, I’ll just hit “randomize” now and let fate decide what I’m playing.
I also hit randomize when it’s there, but I’ll hit it like a few dozen times until I find one that I like.
My coop Elden Ring run had both simultaneously, it was ridiculous.
“Make sure to create a good character” I told my brother, naively.
Inevitably, when I looked at his screen after creating my generic fair looking fantasy character, I saw he had engineered a neon-purple skinned monstrosity with protruding orbital bones that had ended up covering its eyes, of course all surrounded by fluorescent-green hair from all directions. When I protested that we couldn’t possibly play with such clashing characters, he not only confirmed his character but insisted, throughout the whole playthrough, on wearing clothing and headwear that showed as much of the purple hideousness as possible.
My most repeated phrases in that playthrough were “oh shit, it’s this boss, I had a bad time with it on solo”; “I swear, that boss was much harder than that on solo”; and “We get it, you are PURPLE”.
If your skin didn’t turn either green or pink you didn’t randomize enough 🫳🎤
