So, yesterday I made a comment to c/retrogaming, as a reply to this post. I can see the comment in my profile, and following the link shows the particular thread I commented on, so all is fine there. When I visit the community, though, I cannot find either my comment or that thread, as replies to the above post…

    What instance is that community on? It could be a syncing issue between instances.

      It’s on lemmy.world, so it is not obvious that it could be a syncing problem. The post I’m replying to is from someone at lemmy.ml, though. Not sure if that would matter or not (it shouldn’t, but still…)

      Another hint may be the fact that when I press the link to “View all comments”, I get only my comment, the parent comment and a reply to my comment (so, the thread the comment is directly in). whereas when I do this for other comments I’ve made I get the entire thing (post + all comments made to it). It is almost as if there are two copies of the same post, with different ids or something, and in the community I’m seeing one, and my comment was somehow attached to the other?

      I don’t really care much about this particular comment, of course, but still thought I’d report this, as it may hint at some more serious issue.
