In 2023 I had United Health Care as my Healthcare provider. They had $22B+ in profits in 2023. Starting in 2024 they dropped UVM Health Network (a non profit) from their in-network coverage. How can this be allowed? Where can I express my opinion on the matter and at least attempt to have it heard? Thank you.

Let me know if you find anything. I’ve been under the ongoing impression that nobody cares about the broken system being broken.

Seems like only Bernie cares. And we lost our shot at having him help us.

I left a great job simply due to them providing healthcare coverage through United. It made my life too difficult with my kids and specialists and got super expensive. Switched to a company offering Cigna and life is easier now.

I understand your pain. I am fortunate enough to have a spouse who gets Blue Cross through his company.

Honestly? Congress. Your Congresspeople need to hear how bad things really are with these companies before they’ll bother to do anything about it

United Health Care isn’t a healthcare provider; it’s an insurance company. They, like every other health insurance company, actively fight to deny healthcare to people, so they’re kind of the opposite of a healthcare provider. They make money by denying coverage.

But the others are right: Congress.
