Trying to install Nvidia Drivers for a 320m on a 2010 Macbook but under Software and updates > Additional Drivers: there is no option to install Nvidia X Server drivers or anything like that so im kinda stuck
This is no longer supported by NVIDIA’s legacy drivers. You should use the AMD/Intel ISO and go without the proprietary NVIDIA driver. Nouveau should be good enough for these older GPUs.
What shows up in the Pop Shop? [edit] Also thinking about this, it looks like you’re trying to find the drivers the “Ubuntu” way which is quite a bit more streamlined in Pop. Another thing I’m wondering is if you had used the nVidia ISO when installing Pop, as installing from that should have preloaded nVidia drivers for you upon install, granted it’s still for a Macbook.
Either way, if the system detected the 320m, it would show up in the Pop Shop as opposed to the “additional software” application, and if you still don’t see the driver available in the Pop Shop, it may be worthwhile to see what command line options you have to install via apt.
