What’s the deal with Mander xyz? I started seeing those communities being mentioned recently and they all are really good.
I think it’s a few reasons
- the communities are mostly all science/research focussed, so it’s got more of a recognizable culture and you know what to expect going in
- very engaged and curious people that post a lot of cool content
I like mander.xyz, and it’s a good place to build a community that fits that theme. I’m working on a few health/medicine communities started on Mander.xyz and people really helped get them going

What do you mean by the question? It’s a science/nature based instance.
I was just curious since I only just started noticing communities with that domain popping up
[email protected]. While there’s not much conversation going on there it’s still nice to jump on lemmy and see a Calvin and Hobbes comic every day in my feed. The mod is currently posting C&H’s from 1987.
Oh this is cool. The fediverse needs threads like this every now and then for discoverability of neat communities like this one.
