No it isn’t.
It can be if you use your imagination.
But in all seriousness, auto-tune was invented by geologists who realized that they could use math to correct information from seismographs and then they extrapolated that concept to the concept of audio frequencies.
Gonna need a citation for that one because I don’t see it on a quick search for auto tune
