That’s awesome man. Yeah, there’s definitely a sense of pride keeping old stuff alive.
I always admire a well kept older car. Doesn’t matter if it’s a econobox from the 80s or whatever. I just enjoy it…probably more than seeing a hypercar. Yeah, they are cool and are an amazing feat of modern engineering, but the only thing required to attain it is money. The guy driving a pristine Honda accord from 1985 put in the work to have that!
I’m working on my Renesis (13B-MSP rotary) engine swap into my Miata. It’s been going on for months and not even close to done. I do have my engine rebuild complete, the engine back together and now most of the electrical harness hooked up to the engine, but now to start integrating it with some of the Miata stuff.
1969 F250. Rebuilt 390fe with upgraded cam, intake manifold, edlebrock 750, then replaced the fuel tank and upgraded to EFI. Rebuilt trans., new radiator. Plan to move the floor shift back to the column and add a/c. Also have some headers to put in and hope to be able to add the 2nd gas tank. Plan to make it my hauler.
1961 Lincoln continental sedan. Rebuilt 430 MEL and trans. New interior. Lowered. Upgraded to EFI. Plan to upgrade the starter, raise it back to stock ride height, and redo vacuum and electrical. Also needs new front windows and a thumping stereo system.
2008 bmw k1200r. Just needs fluids and a battery and a trailer to get it down the 3 mile dirt/gravel road to some tarmac.
Currently in the process of installing fuel rails and a catch can on my Camaro. I got the wrong size AN fittings for the cross-over hose on rails, so I’m waiting for those to arrive in the mail. Other than that, the installation process is super close to completion.
1968 Ford Galaxie 500, got a fresh tranny rebuild and stroked the 302 out to a 347. Rebuilt the AC box because it was already apart, why not. Then redid the entire interior upholstery and dash because it was already apart, why not. Now reassembling.
Just keeping my shitbox alive lol. It’s a constant project!

2008 Mazda6, got it for $2000 with 150k miles, swapped the engine out in my driveway last year after it spun a bearing at 155k which fixed most the issues
I’ve got a bathroom I’m trying to finish out the walls. It’s so close.
You guys actually own cars? (cries in taxes)
Currently a 1996 2 door Tahoe. Picked it up last week, no rust on the thing, but a few mechanical issues I’ve been working through. Just put on an alternator, belt/tensioner/idler, power steering pump and steering gearbox today. Tomorrow is new headlight and transfer case switches, nerf bars and a third brake light.
Trying to diagnose a running problem with my 2003 MR2 Spyder.
