Anyone else have large drives that they have either all, or almost all of their games installed to, and find themselves spending more time making sure the blue pending update status of a game is gone, rather than actually playing a GD game?
edit adding context I have 4x 1.92TB Enterprise SSDs in a Raid 5 for ~4.7tb of usable space. I’m just about at max capacity with about 280 of 307 games installed. I got the SSDs from work.

exactly what I was thinking when I saw this post
…nah dawg.
I have ~8 games installed? If I wanna play something else I’ll install real quick and carry on.
It sounds like I’m a minority gamer in the sense that I only play 1-3 games any given week. I tend to have a storyline game (currently TOTK, previouly Horizon), a casual pick up (Civ or RimWorld), and an online game (Sea of Thieves or Deep rock galactic). When I tire/finish something it’ll go away for a long while and I’ll install something else.
I wish I could do that, my internet would be to slow. So a big game could take a week of download.
Lol if I had the space. I used to do that but realized I had way too many games installed. Now I just have 5 to 10 or so.
Once or twice a year I will do a grand purge and uninstall most of what I have installed to get back to the 5 - 10.
I don’t have the terabytes to install all my games. And if I did, I would be using that space for things I was actively doing.
Absolutely not lol
Sounds like me. I do this all the time.
I’m like you bud. My home theater PC I have to have them all installed. What if I have a guest over that wants to play Assassin’s Creed 2? Gotta have it installed.
I ended up doing a hardware raid on a bunch of 2tb SSDs, so I have a super big and fast 14tb drive
I don’t have nearly enough disc space for ~800 games lmao, my Steam account is nearly 15 years old.
