Nichols is an incredible person. Full stop. I’m so glad I read this book, and I recommend it to anyone who’s a Star Trek fan, interested in Nichols’ life, or generally curious about Hollywood and performing from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Let me tell you, Nichols leads a life.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love her more.

Incidentally, Wikipedia’s entry on Sammy describes their time together as “a short, stormy, exciting relationship.”

I wish I could have had a short, stormy, exciting relationship with Nichelle Nichols! I did get to meet her when I was 12 at a Star Trek convention though. She was such a nice lady!
