Update from the RaptorCAM group

2.11.2024, Two Owlets HH5 & HH6 with their newly named parents “Bayley” & “Joshua” on Hilton Head, Island, SC. HH5 hatched on 2.5.2024 at 10:19PM EST and HH6 hatched on 2.8.2024 at 3AM EST.

HH5 & HH6 eyes should open after 10 days or between 2.15-2.18 and then fledge after 9 10 weeks or between 4.8 4.18.

      Yes, there is occasionally some trademark infringement by another group, but they usually stop using it around this time.

      While this owl family is definitely very superb, there are a few others if you look around! We have owls for every occasion.

    That live feed is great.

    I saw her earlier today, ripping up dead prey and feeding it to her two babies! They were covered in gore, but still adorable. And hungry! I had no idea baby owls could eat pieces as large as they did.

      I have the worst timing, I never see anything. I’m glad there is a diligent team of people taking screenshots!

      This one looks really good!

      I’m glad to see the nest full of food, someone had commented they hadnt seen Mr Owl in a few days. I guess he’s just busy hunting non-stop.

        I saw a post on a different site this morning. They had 3 barn owl chicks a bit old than these guys but still very small and they said they were eating 15 mice a day between the 3 of them!
