I’m not breathing unhealthy air because of climate change!

…I’m breathing unhealthy air because the few steel mills still active in my rust belt city give zero shits about environmental regulations and pump poison into the air to save a buck.

Exactly. Don’t forget, these are the “1/3 pounder is smaller than 1/4” people.

Basically everyone will have COPD in the next 20 years, everyone will be walking around with dust masks and supplemental oxygen. Fuck I hope the scientists can save us, regenerate the ozone layer and put into orbit some massive solar shades to cool this bitch down. To clean the air we will need to plant trillions of plants and give them time to grow to repair some of our lost airable land and reverse desertification. Going to need to start seeding storms too, to draw out the sting of some of these super storms. Need to clone wooly mammoths and return them to the arctic, along with new human settlements it the area, which might be Earth’s only habitable space before long. Someday we will figure out how to lasso and mine comets and stuff. 35 years left to Halley’s Comet returns. Maybe we can squeeze something useful out of it that will help humans breath the air for another 70 years, maybe we’ll be gone before it gets here. And that’s my TedTalk.
