President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference in Germany that “Obviously (Alexei Navalny) was killed by (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. Like thousands of others who have been tortured.”

This is true regardless of the circumstances of Navalny’s death.

At minimum, the FSB’s poisoning of the man resulted directly in the decline in his health that killed him, exacerbated by the horrific gulag conditions of his imprisonment.

In all likelihood, guards and wardens were persistently torturing and tormenting him during the imprisonment, with full and correct certainty that the Dear Leader approved.

And he may well have simple hit the point where the Kremlin no longer wanted him alive, so unalived him.

Not that Zelensky is wrong to point it out, but it’s a Captain Obvious opinion. Any way you cut it, Putin directly caused this man’s death. And it wasn’t JUST for political reasons. It was also personal. Putin’s feels were hurt so very badly by this guy’s opposition movement.

It’s the exact same treatment Zelensky will get if Russia and their cronies around the world (including the US GOP) get their way.

Putin was going to do this as soon as he felt we could pull it off without repercussions. He has already gotten any kind of protesting outlawed and abolished so he feels safe in doing it now.

Navalny died because Russians are physically incapable of hope
