      Which ones have you played? Most of them play differently from each other, so if you don’t like one, doesn’t mean you won’t like another.

        I think I’ve only played a few minutes of Dark Souls. The idea of having to play x amount of hours to “get good” and only then start enjoying the game doesn’t appeal to me at all. Maybe it’s a misconception, but that’s what I was explained by a friend who had thousands of hours in this kind of game. That’s definitely not for me if it’s the case…

          Well, first of all, not all Souls games are same, so if you don’t like one, you can always try another one that catches your interest.

          Secondly, I wouldn’t say it takes you long to “get good”, you just have to understand that this doesn’t play like normal hack and slash, and every enemy can kill you. So, instead of rushing in, try to find an opening and then attack. Of course you get better at this the more you play, but most of these games (specially the form soft ones) are very fair, with almost no cheap deaths.

          I would recommend giving Dark Souls another try.
