“Vaccines have been around for thousands of years, and here we are, the pinnacle of what Starfleet has to offer, wasting the little time we have before Riker gets us in trouble by flirting with a multidimensional fungus or some such with this crap?! No, I can’t do it, I’ve had it, where’s that ghost at?!”
Riker travels the mycelia’s network with his (Not Enterprise) D confirmed.
Well, let’s just say there was a young, eager multidimensional fungus-lady that lived outside space-time. Then she met this brazen spaceship officer with that mischievous smile, cone lead to another and 9 months later, a wee little mycelium started spreading it’s spores across the dimensions. It grew strong and healthy and welcomed all spaceships to travel along it because it hopes that one day, it’s father would be among them and tell it how proud he was.
He boldly went (came?) to where no man has gone before.
If he does so while going warp 10 he’d be the last to ever do so. Everywhere at once.
Well, Picard was tokyo drifting at warp 13 and for some reason was able to just go straight. Maybe Riker had trouble finding the wormhole.
It’s funny that the meme is about brain damage. This is the scene where both of them completely lose their memories and sense of identity.
And, according to the plot of the episode, it didn’t affect their lives that much.
Correct! The entire crew loses their memory, in fact, and has to piece together the mystery of not just who they are but what the heck happened to them. The memory ones are always fun.
And Riker and Ro Laren hook up since they work so well together and feel a spark. He then has to convince his “imzadi” and Ro, that it was just an honest mistake that anyone who lost his memory would make. The ending makes it seem like he’ll be sleeping on the couch for a month.
Ah, what a conundrum.
Savage.
Blazin Bev gets snappy near shift’s end, knowing her beloved greens are waiting back in her quarters.
What was this scene?
It’s from TNG S05E14 (“Conundrum”), one of the opening scenes
