I can never enjoy that build, I just charge into melee and whack people in the head. Always works out well, and if it doesn’t the difficulty slider goes down a notch.

Bethesda has the worst difficulty settings. If they’re going to make it a lazy enemy stat multiplier, they should copy what Metro did with Ranger Mode and make both sides deadlier and more fragile, while lowering ammo drops/increasing ammo prices. Combat becomes harder but way more satisfying, instead of Bethesda’s method where every enemy becomes a damage sponge and hard mode turns into a miserable slog.

There’s something intensely satisfying about charging into a dungeon at a dead run while brutally hacking apart anything in your way. Of course, that only really works once you’re overpowered, but it is fun.

Sword and board, you think bows are op? Let me tell you about the joy of shield bashing

Shield charging is too fun - like bowling with bandits for pins and you’re the ball.

    Dark Souls.

Against a archer, I’m literally Solid Snake as I avoid detection to assassinate them and get revenge. I hate them with a passion.

But a extremely challenging threat? Oh you bet I’m cheesing by sniping them behind a wall.

I killed the Hydra in the crystal lake by sitting on top of a bridge at pretty much max render distance. It took a couple hundred arrows but I felt nothing but satisfaction the whole time.
