Hey there,
so I was turned off by all the drama at launch and waited until now to buy the game. I hear major changes are going to come soon.
So do you think it’s a better idea to start playing it now, or wait for patch 1.7/2.0?
Personally I’d wait september.
The game is already good and fun, but the first playthrough is always special, and if all the changes that are expected will come and be positive I feel they’ll have a major impact on it.
If you can, IMHO, just wait it out.
I would wait for September. The game mechanics, even for the base game, are going to be radically revamped from what i understand…No point getting into it now, when its gonna be radically different in a month and a half.
Unless you literally have nothing else to play at the moment. Or you just want to play it, patch be damned…but i doubt you’d make this post if you were of that disposition.
I just started playing before I knew about the update and I’m loving it wouldn’t it be better to play it now then get to experience a basically new game come September
Good point - I would like to hear more opinions on this idea!
@sir_pronoun @cakemasterjedi Anybody who is eager and interested in playing the game multiple times should just play it right now and start a new playthrough when the expansion releases.

I think it’s better to wait for the DLC/patch. There are so many things that are getting changed that it’s worth it.
Wait for PL to get released and then buy on sale. Why? If you’re interested in modding, which you eventually would be, modders would need to update their code. Which IMO, would take a month, on a safe side.
Definitely wait for the DLC. With it comes a complete overhaul of several game mechanics and the skill trees. It will be a different game technically, but the story will still be the same.
