It’s been an amazing few days reading so many posts without a shred of toxicity in them. I’m sure it won’t always be a cake walk, but for the last couple of days I just feel… healthier mentally.

I am on the same boat. I was on Reddit for close to 10 years, and this encouraged me to look for alternative. And you know what, now after spending few days here on Lemmy, it has started to grow on me. Especially the toxic free environment.

I used the blackout days to prove to myself that I don’t need reddit. It seems I proved the opposite. I browsed tildes and it felt so empty that I thought that might actually have to bow to spez.

But today that I found lemmy, I feel like I actually don’t need to look back to reddit ever again!

I’m absolutely there with you my friend. This place has a far higher potential than Reddit ever had by virtue of it’s open source code and decentralised nature. You, I and others here, are riding the waves of history.

Same. I had never heard of lemmy. Now it is all I hear about.

Not only that, but the support Lemmy and the app jerboa got over the last week is insane!
