Good bid, if Chelsea doesn’t give up on their nonsense 80m, then we should just move on. We have enough drama and sagas going on, we don’t need more.

My only worry is that United’s Art of the Deal takes over and we end up paying even more because we’ve dragged our heels too long. Set a limit and walk away if they refuse.

The fact that they most likely can get 50 should be enough for them as they have so many players they need to sell.

Manchester United have submitted an opening bid for Mason Mount today, as they guaranteed to the player days ago. Bid worth £40m. 🚨🔴 #MUFC

Chelsea have rejected the proposal, as per @Matt_Law_DT. No plan to accept £40m fee for Mount.

Man United, planning to bid again.

Let’s see if we’ve learnt our transfer lessons this time. Hopefully get this done quickly, and have all business done before preseason.

While I’m not personally a fan of Mount, he would give depth which is sorely needed. It’s also nice to see us trying to do business early, just hope we don’t drag it on.

It’d add depth but 50m would make him 1st team and somebody else is going to be the depth option. Would he get in City’s team or even Arsenal?

Hopefully we move on if they reject the next bid and start looking at someone else. I’d love for us to get him but surely there’s someone similar out there who who’ll be better or won’t cost 70/80
