    The scale on the left y goes from 8-16. The suicide rate went from 13.6/k to just under 10/k. A 30% or so drop, major but not quite as huge as this graph makes it appear.

        I was taught in school to always be skeptical of graphs where zero is not zero. It shows the change clearly, but misrepresents overall picture.

          thats a good rule of thumb. Its meant to show change in the time that its showing. I said the same thing about stocks.

      yea well its also when i was born so i don’t quite follow your meaning, maybe you should spell it out.

    Its interesting how this trends with political correctness movements.

    The 90s was the end of it with court cases over ruling speach that hurt feelings being a crime etc.

    Then the mid teens to today we have people all over upset about anything and everything, dont upset anyone or you’re a horrible person etc.

    I’m not saying that suicide and PC culture go hand in hand but the people pushing these agendas are often ones who commit suicide the most.
