on my homepage, I hit the three dots and then “hide read”. it hides a couple posts right at the top, but my entire feed is still posts that I’ve already read. I keep hitting “hide read”, and after 5 or 6 times it’s finally showing me all new stuff.
am I doing something wrong?

The app only hides read posts that are loaded on the screen. After pressing hide read, Boost load the next page of posts that might contain read posts too.
If you don’t want to see read posts, disable “Show read posts” in your account preferences

Same thing happens to me with communities I blocked. They just show up anyway.
Did you log out and back in after the recent lemmy.world upgrade? That fixed it for me.
