be patient, because I don’t know what the right word is: I mean the visible fabric of some summer leggings where everybody clearly sees that the fabric is porous in some parts, so humidity and heat escapes.

Absolute noob here regarding leggings, Im thinking about returning my asics winter leggings due to this, unless you tell me this is a stupid idea and Im gonna need al the heat I can save during cold weather and winter.

Unless you like freezing in the winter, yeah you want to keep the heat.

This seems like such a personal thing though. I suppose they are wearing their leggings for a sport such as running (given the brand they mention). Thus transpiration may be an issue even during cold temperatures outside.

My experience is buy gear in response, not in anticipation.

I don’t know what you’re planning on using your leggings for but in my personal experience of being a year round bike commuter in a place that sees all seasons and weather I only get items that I find I need rather than trying to anticipate what I might need.

Why not give the leggings you have a try before returning them and see if they work out for you.

Also not sure where you live but local climate is a major factor. Is it a dry high desert winter where there is no moisture in the air or a standard cold as fuck winter with 80% humidity making the chill penetrate into your bones? These are all things only you can answer. At the end of the day gear is only there to make the individual user comfortable for their individual use case—there is no one right answer.

those transparent bits in leggings are just for fashion, not function. The entirety of the fabric can be moisture wicking.

anyway in the summer time, women don’t wear leggings, it’s too hot. We wear those maxi dresses and we are commando underneath or anti-chafing shapewear under the dress
