      I’m sure you’re joking but my city just replaced two intersections with stone paving. It’s nice and smooth too, I wonder if it’ll last longer than asphalt.

    I’m not sure where this picture was taken, but Departments of Transportation in many communities will have a test road where they try out various road surfaces and paints. I suspect this is one of them.

    It’s the Patchwork Highway. It’s a tourist attraction. It’s been all over Pinterest. That’ll be $5.

      I’m not so sure. I’m British and I can’t say this looks British at all. We don’t have a solid middle line in our highway code. Happy to be proven wrong, though.

        Agreed, unless it’s a private road. Might also explain why it has been patched so many times instead of being resurfaced.
