    The trick is to stop caring,

    I don’t mean be an asshole for kicks, I just mean stop giving weight to what others think of you. It’s your life. Time teaches this lesson to many, but many refuse to accept it.

      But I still give weight to what I think of me and the cringe is strong ._.

      Yup. I’m generally a nice person, but when I do something stupid, I quickly move on under the assumption that my generally niceness will give me some slack with others.

      yup, still deal with this every day. when I catch myself doing it, I correct it. it’s getting easier, though!

    For many years I did not appreciate the gift my generation (Gen-X) was given. Without the “whatever” attitude and mantra, I do not think I would have survived the high levels of cringe I am capable of producing on a daily basis.

    … sadly, I think that exact thing even when I know it was my best. I acknowledge Im bad at social situations, but I hope I’m not that bad.
