If I had kids, I’d fuck them up less by reading them Stephen King’s It at age 5 than I would by reading them Bible stories at the same age.
Of course, the pastors think five is the perfect age to start scaring the shit out of them with threats of Hell…
And it sticks with them for life. My wife has been an atheist since she was a teenager, but she still has nightmares about going to Hell because of the evangelical church she went to as a child. She’s 45.
