Yes this is something I want to add for the ability to explore/rank communities like lemmy-ui.

You can’t - I think it’s a lemmy/feature of federation thing.
Use the search function for communities, posts or whatever.
Other Lemmy UI/apps can browse communities, it is not a limitation.
Take a look at phtn.app for example.

I agree, it would be good to be able to browse all communities on an instance.
