Just watch the original roadhouse.
I love the original, and enjoyed the remake.
I also like Jake Gyllenhaal, but this movie missed so many opportunities.

For me, I fully admit that the new Roadhouse isn’t a good movie, however, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved seeing Jeff Healey in the original Roadhouse. That man could play guitar like fucking crazy.
What a wonderful and perfect suggestion. That movie sucked. It sucked the moon right out of the sky.

Haven’t seen the original, but the new one was pretty boring. Jake’s character was sort of interesting, but not enough to make a whole movie about him. I’ll probably try the original one to see if its better.
The original character is great. Both are on prime right now, but you could probably find a DVD rip off the first one.
The original is pure ridiculous fun.
