3 tons seems like a low number for a record.
Why do they migrate to the artificial park?
They go there to feed on fruit. I’m guessing there is a ton of fruit that ripens around that time.

But something did not compute. 8,000,000 bats are 3.5t or 3,500,000g? So less than 0.5g per bat?
I found a weight of 250-350g in an article. That would mean total weight between 2,000t and 2,800t.
You’re totally right. I made this early in the morning before coffee, it should be 3,500 tonnes. I’ll fix it.
And now I also wonder if there has ever been a gathering of humans with 8 million attendees.
